Hello magnificent community. I am so excited today, I show up on some of these episodes of my Working for Spirit podcast. Instead of sharing the teachings in the trainings and the theories, I often will give you how things are playing out in my own life. What I love is when I'm able to bring you a client story and this one is powerful, you have got to hear about this.
I call this client story from lawyer to life purpose, from lawyer to life purpose, and it's one of my favorites, as well as a very big success story for the way that I helped this client and went on to help others. It has a message in it because I want you to see her journey and what all went into it for her to step out and start living her purpose and to monetize her magic and all the things I talked about. Let me tell you about from lawyer to life purpose today. I had a call that is one of those moments that makes living in your purpose worth it no matter what. I had a client who had come to me the year before. She was a lawyer earning six figures and feeling like she was not living her purpose had gifts emerging that she wanted to express. She was working in a toxic environment that was making her sick, but she was making really really good money and she was the primary breadwinner for her family and she had children and her husband's job was on shaky ground and the house needed major repairs.
The first thing I did with her on our first call was to help her subconscious mind stop spinning and draining her energy. I do this with a lot of my clients and it's so worked so many of my clients have left what no longer serves them, especially jobs. I asked her “tell me a date you absolutely will no longer tolerate living like this”. She told me on January 4 of the following year. At the time it felt very far off. We were just at the end of the year heading into the new year. So it was really going to be a year and a month.
Now I always trust you to set that date and it's super important. So even though I felt like oh, I don't want you to wait that long. It's important. That's what bubbled up inside of her and she had to fully own it and be invested in it. It has a great ending. So here we were at the end of the year, December going into just a few weeks away January and she said it for the following year January 4. This helped a lot it kept her mind from asking her every day how long are you going to stay here? When will this be over? How much more of this can you take?
I want you to understand this because this is super important. Your mind when you're in a toxic environment and unhappy environment especially when Spirit and your soul are calling you forward. You will spend so much energy and wear yourself down in your mind and spend every day driving to work. I hate this. How much longer do I have to do this? Can I quit? I'm dreaming about quitting but I won't quit yet.
Once we set the date I said now you've told Spirit the date now a lot of times people have then come out of their job ahead of schedule. This is even a little bit of a twist. This is a really good one. And it helps me trust Spirit even more. So we are 13 months out and she sets her final day. She will no longer tolerate living like this and having this job. She gave that to her mind. So now her mind can no longer keep saying every day how long are you going to stay here? When will this be over? Can I leave today? Tomorrow next week? How much more of this Can I take? Then we started to do the work.
We created a vision of the life she wanted to live. We looked at what was showing up that she didn't want, we looked at what she already had, that she did want. These are all the things I teach you. These are the things I do with my clients and students. I helped her start building the business of her dreams and what do I tell you? Her stuff came up. I mean, it really came up. She didn't back down. She worked on her oldest, most painful stuff that was holding her back. She peeled layer after layer of it away and great and wonderful things emerged. She faced her fears she worked through anxiety attacks.
She kept building her business and the blessings came as she began to be and do more and more in her purpose every day. These are techniques I use with my clients a lot, especially the ones who come to me and want to leave the situation's they are in and create new ones. The more we did this work, the more spirit intervened on her behalf. She learned to leave the house to the universe, one of my biggest universal guiding principles. The universe made connections lined up opportunities and cleaned things up for her. It has been an amazing journey to watch and an amazing journey to be a part of.
We have both been blessed in the process when she first came to me and she didn't believe what she desired was possible. Wasn't certain that what she was being called to do was doable. I stood in a place and held space for her I believed because I had done it myself. I knew and I had her borrow my belief until she had her own and that's something powerful coaches and mentors have done for me. Because if you see one person doing something and you're lit up, it means it's possible for you. Which by the way is one of the reasons it's triggering. Sometimes people attack you because it's never about you. If you go back and listen to the podcast just previous to this. It's always about that person. You are showing them their excuses are BS, and they don't like that.
When she called me that phone call she called to tell me she quit her job. They started adding it all up. She is owed for paid time that she will receive money for but no longer have to show up in that place. So once she did all the calculating of that, one she quit her job and they added up where they do all that. Here's your pay time but you don't have to show up anymore. All of that when it is all said and done.
Her last day was going to be January 4, the exact day she needed that kind of confirmation and validation from spirit. You see, it wasn't that she said to her work. My last day will be January 4. It is that when they calculated it all out her soul and divine intelligence because she gave it the assignment that's the way it works. She had gotten so sick from this job. She had had to take family medical leave and now she would no longer have to do any of that. She set that date 13 months in advance and then this is what I want you to get to.
She set the date turned that part over to spirit and then she said about doing everything the inner work and the outer aligned inspired action. She did everything. She didn't just sit there and magically make can't wait to see January 4. A year from now. I'm not going to be sitting in that job anymore. I don't know how. You do say I don't know how. Then you follow the breadcrumbs. You say yes to the opportunities. You take inspired aligned action consistently in the third dimension and you clear heal and resolve every thing that shows not getting in the way. Way before that she already started creating income with her own spiritual business.
The moment she let go, new opportunities began to show up all coming together to show her you are supported. You are taken care of. You did the right thing. Bravo! because what I want you to understand here too, is some of her earliest conditioning and programming and limiting beliefs work, you are not supported. You are not taken care of. You don't know how to do the right thing.
She cleared, healed and resolved it. Now the universe responded and reflected to her the truth. Once her own limiting beliefs got out of the way. You are supported. You are taken care of and you did the right thing. Someone hand me a Kleenex. I'm getting choked up still and I have told this story and written about this story so many times. It was a moment to behold and what happened to me in that moment. I trusted it all again. The journey wasn't over yet. In fact, it was just the beginning.
This journey that started where you create a vision of the life you want to live and then create a business that supports and sustains it. We started there. Come on. I told her I know the way I've been doing this a little while. I'll hold space for you and I'll hold your hand. She and I continued our journey together through that entire year. After she left that job. She said I still need you. I know I haven't been without a coach since 2009. I wouldn't be. I love working with people at this level bringing all my gifts to the table to support and guide you through the inner work and the outer work. This is what I do.
You need to be willing to show up, you need to be willing to stay in it for the long haul to get the results you want. You need to trust me and trust the process.
I'm telling you part of this also so you understand. Some times it takes journeying with somebody I watched journey with one coach for three and a half years. I typically will journey a year or six months or more with a coach. In this case, she and I worked together a long time. I have a client who's just coming back to me in November. She was one of my very first clients in 2013. Once I started doing the private coaching in these coaching packages these longer term because I discovered the power in them. She's worked with me 18 months at a time year after year after year, and now she's coming back.
Once you've worked with me, I have clients who come back and leave or stay. I love all of it. I want you to recognize sometimes it's really getting in there and digging deep and making those huge healing and transformational changes in your life. I love that I've been equipped to help people with this. So I work with people in those longer containers. Come on. I know the way I've been doing this a little while.

I woke up one day in my own life and like what is this life I'm living and then I had to realize who created this. Me. I did and then I changed it all. You can do it.I can tell you now we're some years down the road. There was a lot of things in her life that came up during our work together that were not good.
But instead of just pushing up against it, I gotta change this. I've got to change this relationship. I've got to change this money. I've got to change this house I live in. I've got to change my work. They all work organically changed in her favor. As she changed. I have so many stories of clients who've made huge physical changes in their lives. Dramatic.
